Shari Bossuyt (Canyon-SRAM Racing) received the bunch dash on the third and remaining stage of the Tour de Normandie Féminin. She charged from peloton on the flat run-in to Caen with loads of area behind to Martina Alzini (Cofidis) in second place.
Cédrine Kerbaol (Ceratizit-WNT Professional Biking) sealed the GC victory along with her end within the peloton within the inaugural stage race, holding a one-second benefit over runner-up Gladys Verhulst (FDJ-SUEZ).
“We had a plan and we executed it completely… It’s an excellent victory for the entire workforce, and the entire workforce labored so onerous for it,” Kerbaol stated after taking the general lead with the stage 2 victory on Saturday.
